INTRODUCTION:
The PVS Education and Rural Development Society ® is incepted in the year 2000 by the like minded social workers, professionals and Educationalists with an aim to bring socio-economic, educational and health improvements among the down trodden, backward classes, minority and reserved community with due focus on poorest of poor, women and children.


WORKING AREA:
The working area is coming under the plain and semi hilly region of the Deccan plateau with in the latitude 12-14 degree N and an longitude of 74-76 degree E with an average rain fall of 950mm. The cultivable lands are dry type and mostly depending on the southwest monsoon rain. The main food crops grown are Ragi, jower, maize, and to some extent paddy. The commercial crops are edible oil seeds, cotton, chillies, corainder, vegetables and pulses. The target group populations are of small land holding farmers, land less agricultural labourers. The literacy percentage among the target group population is around 45% with female percentage is at 35%. The health status among them is below average level and under nourished and the rate of IMR & MMR is above national / state average level. The per capita income pr day is below Rs.50 and children school dropout rate is high with enormous child labour practices due to frequent migration in search of seasonal employments for their living sources.

Now this society is concentrating in working in the arena of promoting formal education for the benefit of interested rural and urban students to pursue with their interested job oriented studies thus established and managing the institutions to fulfill such aspirations.


AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
1.  To bring in socio-economic, educational developments among the target
     group populace in the urban and rural vicinity.
2.  To make the target group community sustainable I life and fully
     empowered.
3.  To ensure a new world where these is no caste, creed, colour, religion or
     sex but only humanity exists.
4.  To serve for the cause of poor uplift and to protect the human rights.

EXPECTATION:
The like minded supporting agencies / Donors / Government Departments are requested to extend their support, guidance and cooperation for achieving the organization aim in urban and rural development activities.
